Stand!

July 2011

Topics: Armor of God
by Rev. Bob Hoffman

This is a time when the enemy of our souls is trying everything he can to turn people away from the true and living God, from Jesus Christ and from the Holy Ghost. Many are falling away because of his lies and deceit, but I pray that you will not be among them. That’s why I want to bring you a special Bible verse today, one that you will need to be strong and to win against the tidal wave of lukewarmness that is rushing over the Earth in this final hour before the coming of the Lord. STAND therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14). This verse tells you to STAND, and you can STAND if you decide to.

Standing means courage; it means that you’re rooted and grounded in the truth of the Scriptures. That’s why it’s an absolute must that you study the Holy Scriptures daily and apply the words of the Lord to your own heart. Only the Word of God is pure truth, and that truth will blow away the clouds of doubt and unbelief that the enemy tries to bring to you through other people and their opinions. The armor of God listed in Ephesians 6 is your armor; it’s provided by God through the Holy Ghost to make you more than a conqueror.

This is a serious matter because it concerns your soul. It’s vital to your success or failure in life. Will you be swept away with the world or STAND with God and His true people? Think about how the men, women, boys and girls stood in the days of the Early Church. Stephen was just a young man, but he took a STAND for truth even though it cost him his life. However, he didn’t really lose his life; he lives forever in Heaven, and his life and his sermon that are recorded in the book of Acts have inspired and given strength to untold numbers of Christians throughout history. Saul, who later became the Apostle Paul, was converted partly because of the STAND that Stephen made when he was persecuted.

Thank God for the many young people on Earth today who have the same spirit that Stephen displayed. They’re standing for the whole truth of God, which includes the baptism in the Holy Ghost. They aren’t bowing to the attacks and scorn of the world. Some are even hated by their own families because they love Jesus Christ and believe in the whole Word of God.

STAND for Jesus, young man, young woman, boys and girls. STAND for the truth which says, THE GOD OF MIRACLES LIVES! STAND for the truth that Jesus is coming soon. STAND for the truth that tells us Jesus came to set the captives free—free from sin, free from condemnation, free from sickness and disease, free from all of the bondages of the devil.

In our great crusades, we are seeing the most fantastic manifestations of God’s power and grace. He is performing miracles and healings, delivering the devil possessed and filling untold thousands with the Holy Ghost. How is this all happening?—through the power in the blood of the Lamb and through the gifts of the Spirit in Rev. Angley’s life, praise God! It’s real! We STAND for all of it, and all of the blessings and promises of God are true; so STAND for every promise, every warning of judgment and every thought of God. STAND for purity, for righteousness and holiness, and against sin and disobedience; and God will make you into a wonderful vessel of honor.

Some of you who are reading this may not be saved. You may not have repented and asked Jesus into your heart, but you can do that right now. It will change your life for time and eternity. Click here to pray a life-changing prayer with Rev. Angley today; then go forth to read your Bible and STAND for every word in it. It’s all divine truth with nothing false mixed in.

If you will STAND for the truth, the truth will STAND for you. You will be blessed and given help, grace and strength from now until the Rapture.

Dare to be a Daniel and STAND against the philosophies and false gods of this world. Dare to be like the three Hebrew boys who would not compromise with anybody, not even the king. They stood, and Jesus stood with them in the fire. He will STAND with you in the fiery trials, too. Dare to be a Stephen, and leave the world behind to live a life of faith in Jesus Christ.

God bless all of you young people who are serving Jesus. I am so proud of you. You aren’t letting so-called friends turn you to sin; you’re staying pure and holy and serving the Lord with your whole heart. You’re truly an inspiration to me and to many others. I am praying for you, and always remember that God never fails.

Love in Christ,
Rev. Hoffman
